Towards a Hyperworld Transfer Protocol (HWTP)

The Metaverse and virtual worlds are a growing market. The seamless integra- tion of such worlds is an important but huge challenge. Transferring avatars, contextual, interaction, or transactional information is mandatory for modern applications in virtual worlds. Teleporting users from one world to another includ- ing their properties is important for many business cases and helps virtual worlds to extend their services as well as to focus on their own business models. To provide such integration and interoperability of virtual worlds, a standard archi- tecture and protocol is required. In this paper, we introduce the Hyperworld Transfer Protocol as a proposed standard for the seamless integration of virtual worlds and show, how it can be employed in real-world scenarios.
